Platini is a 60-year-old former France and Juventus midfielder. As a player, Platini won three Ballon d'Or titles, European Cup, Cheap Fifa 16 Coins Cup Winners' Cup and Super Cup with Juventus.
He also helped France to European Championship to success in 1984 and third place at the 1986 World Cup. Platini was elected UEFA president for a third term in March, while he stood unopposed. As the president of European soccer’s governing body and a FIFA vice president, Platini is the most high-profile candidate to enter the special election to replace Sepp Blatter as FIFA president.
Blatter, 79, announced in June that he would surrender the post he has held since 1998 amid the worst corruption scandal in the organization’s history.
